On our train ride over to Karlstejn Castle I watched as we speed away from Prague. As I looked at the surrounding suburbs I noticed that there was two very different types of buildings. I had seen these two types before through out Prague and the other cities we visited but never did I realize how different they were. Throughout the countryside and suburbs you see beautiful houses, some built recently and others long ago. But you also see these plain and tall buildings with no character that were built during communism. Just looking at these buildings shows how communism takes away who and what a thing is and strips it down to look like everything else.
