Today was our first full day in Prague, and it was incredible!!! After getting a good night sleep after our long traveling journey, we had breakfast and headed to the Bone Church. We took a tram to the metro and then went to the international train station. We boarded a train and visited the Bone Church first. It was such a unique place and I’m really glad I got the opportunity to visit and learn the history behind it.
Next, we went into Kutná Hora (but not before getting ice cream) and had lunch. I had chicken schnitzel which was amazing! We had some extra time before our next event, and we went into a Cathedral. The architecture was so beautiful! All of the architecture is so amazing here. Next, we went to the Silver Mines which was probably my favorite part of the day. It was really cool to be able to experience what miners had to work in everyday many years ago.
We walked around the city for a bit and then headed home. We went to a pizzaria which was very good! We had dinner and headed back to the hotel. It was a great day, and I am so excited for what comes next!
The coolest thing of today was the tour of the Silver Mine. It was amazing how far into the ground we were and getting to experience just how narrow and short the tunnels are. One thing that I noticed which is very different from the United States is the amazing public transportation. We rode on the metro, train, and trams which are all very nice and clean. I am looking forward to experiencing and getting to know my way around using the transportation available!
