Bones and Silver by Taryn Schermer

Today we went to Kutntá Hora and saw a church made out of human bones. It really put the tragedy of the plague and war in perspective to see how many people it affected. Also we went to an old silver mine and got to crawl through tunnels that miners used to use. It was so interesting to see how scary it must have been to be all alone in a pitch black mine with only a flickering lamp to guide you. We also went inside a beautiful church and it was funny when Žofia wouldn’t stop singing and giggling when it was silent and everything echoed. Tomorrow I’m looking forward to seeing inside of St Vedas cathedral to see the giant stain glass window.
