We didn’t strike rich with silver but we did strike rich with amazing experiences. Today we visited the silver mines in Kutnà Hora. We dressed in our miners coats, hard hats, and head lamps and trekked down 160 steps to the mines. The pathways were very narrow and only about 4 ft. tall in some areas. The entire adventure was very intriguing and I can now appreciate the work and harsh conditions that the miners experienced. We also explored the Bone Church containing, as one might guess, bones. As eerie as it sounds, the bones were placed very particularly in order to create unique designs and chandeliers. Every bone in the human body could be found in the church. Today was full of rich experiences but I’m excited to see what our trip to Český Krumlov has in store!
